I did not forget about this, I did serious computer problems stretching from last Tuesday to Saturday evening. With only a day and a half of computer access I remained tragically ignorant of the usual unimportant nonsense I write about here. So for this week you’ll have to fend for yourselves.

The entertainment value of human misery
Is generally pretty low for me these days. There is an endemic trend in both the general populace and general criticism to conflate tragedy with maturity. Largely because it requires very little mental effort to bridge the gap I imagine. But that discussion is rather tangential to the, brief, topic at hand. The title is misleading as this isn’t a general post exploring it, rather its simply my thoughts on the first volume of “Ushijima the Loan Shark”. Man Vs Belly – Fatchelor Life 05 (Insomnifat)
My single biggest impediment to dieting successfully is my sleep pattern. Getting up in the afternoon is diet kryptonite. You end up with no breakfast or a meaninglessly late one which throws off the schedule for the rest of your meals and in the dark of the night you seldom want a proper meal so it leads to snacking etc. It also tends to sap my willpower and lead to “dark thoughts”. An obvious example would be the fact that last week when I was getting up (roughly) normally I was cooking every day, posting to the blog, etc. This week? Nothing on either front. Continue reading…
