(Tardy) Return of the King

A month or so ago, way over here I posted a plan for upcoming content. As the old saying goes, man plans – god laughs (cause he’s a sick fuck apparently). Work finished a day or two before Christmas, which was total shit. So I decided that fuck it, I was just going to take some time completely off, from everything (in the later stages this frequently involved thinking and consciousness). Which is exactly what I did. I’m back in work today, but sill havent actually slept so being back to work doesnt feel real (this may not be entirely because of lack of sleep). What does this mean for you humble reader? Well it means everything I planned has been pushed back the guts of a month. I dont know if I’ll have a job for much longer as my contract runs out at some point this month (seriously dont actually know when which is terrible) which may occupy some of my time. So perhaps dont expect anything before February.

Micro Mickisms

Hmm, even at one entry (ooh er matron) a week Ive been slowly failing to keep my updates regular. This is almost certainly due to how messy my room is and Samsungs poor customer service. The latter left me without a monitor for a month and a half which means I moved my computing to my television. But its hard to type for long periods of time with ones keyboard balanced precariously on ones lap. By the time my monitor was fixed/replaced I’d become used to my new setup and the messiness of my room denies me easy access to my traditional computing setup. Hence the lack of productivity, its certainly not because Im a lazy shit. Continue reading…

RPG Blues

Hmm blog software seems to have gone a bit wonky. Ive re-installed it from a backup and so far it seems to be running ok. But if you notice it fucking up please let me know.

Its been almost a year since I last ran or played in an rpg. And for some reason I just cant seem to get myself interested in playing/running on again. On one level I really want to and random ideas for games to run keep getting kicked around the old noggin; but on another level none of these ideas never seem to go anywhere. And all for the same reason, lack of enthusiasm. When I come up with the idea I think its cool but then the amount of hassle involved in getting it into even a semi-playable form just kills my interest. I suppose I wouldnt mind playing in a game, even one of the more “modern” games which require a larger amount of player input. Continue reading…

Failure to communicate

Well things started out more or less fine. But leaving material in work and getting back into World of Warcraft sort of scuppered that. I tried to recover but it would appear that my ability to queue up articles to publish automatically failed miserably. Which means that I’m going to have to indulge in some batch posting and back dating. But as I can’t afford to be caught online in work it’s likely to take all weekend.

Tiny weapons and disappointment

Well my update schedule was supposed to be Tuesday and Friday. However Im cream crackered today after staying up last night to finish Mass Effect 2. So after doing the tedious Argent Tournment dailies and going to work I didnt get around to finishing the piece I had planned to post. Hopefully I will get around to doing so tomorrow. Here’s a picture of my Warlock after three days at level 80 to distract your attention (I fucking hate how spindly that dagger is).

(Should point out that these images are lightboxed so if you click on them you get a bigger version, ah technology)
